Does the shoe still fit or has Cinderella's Royal Table turned into a pumpkin?

During a 2019 trip to Walt Disney World we booked a Signature Celebration Package at Cinderella’s Royal Table, a premium event made up of 3 unique experiences — Character Dining inside Cinderella’s Castle, priority Happily Ever After fireworks viewing and an after fireworks dessert party.

Right now there are no fireworks or after fireworks dessert parties, but we wondered if the magic still exists at Cinderella’s Royal Table. So during our January trip we splurged and booked lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Here’s our thoughts on whether spending extra on this dining experience is worth it for you…

One of the allures of the dining experience was the welcome/check-in process. Pre-pandemic you would check in and have your party called out by a cast member in a grand way and you would be escorted to a waiting area where we were welcomed by Cinderella and Prince Charming.

That experience for the most part is replaced by the mobile order process. You check in via your phone. Your party is called when you table is ready and you go either via elevator or via the winding staircase to the dining room.

We did take a few pictures on our way up, but really missed that interaction with Cinderella and Prince Charming. And if you read our first article, we were careful not to trip up the steps this time.

The atmosphere of the dining room is not changed at all. It is regal, with beautiful lighting, exquisite decor, stained glass windows, and a great view of the park. Parties are appropriately spaced apart for health/safety reasons.

As with other table service dining we experienced in January, we were provided a card with a menu QR code on it. Scanning the card with your phone you can see the menu selections for the meal starter, main course and desserts. The menu included kid-friendly options as well.

We each had a scrumptious Castle Salad as a starter and chose from delicious options for our main course.

We tried both the Roasted All-Natural Chicken and the Tenderloin of Beef.

Both were delicious!

For dessert we ordered a Jaq & Gus (Whipped Cheesecake) and The Clock Strike Twelve (Dark Chocolate Mousse with a Dark Chocolate Ganache).

As usual, the cast member serving us was exceptional. He stopped by often to check in with us, usually with a good joke or two. We always say it, and it’s true, it’s the cast members that make the magic and Ken did!

The table service lunch costs $62.00 per adult and $37.00 per child.

Several times while we were dining Cinderella was royally announced and visited the room. She remained physically distant, but waved and blew kisses around the dining hall. She did pose for pictures from her locations and said hello to young children as well.

While still magical, we did miss the princesses (Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine) stopping by to say hello, sign mementos, and pose for pictures. We hope that they can add more princesses to put a little more pixie dust into the experience, especially for young ones visiting.

If you have dined here before and are looking for a quiet place to eat in the Magic Kingdom with more gourmet food, then we recommend revisiting. However, if this is your first time trying this table service experience or you have little ones that want to meet the princesses, we recommend that you wait until the health/safety restrictions are eased and more of the magic can return.
